Since the beginning of my studies, I have been captivated by vascular medicine. Alongside my dermatological training, I also had the opportunity to complete a specialization in angiology (vascular medicine) at AKH Vienna and Inselspital Bern/Switzerland. After many years of training abroad with a focus on vein and vascular medicine, I returned to Austria in 2016 to primarily focus on surgical and interventional venous medicine.
Since 2022, I have been leading the Venous Clinic and its associated surgical department at the University Dermatology Clinic at AKH Vienna. In parallel, I care for patients at my private practice in Vienna (1090) and work as an attending physician at several private hospitals in Vienna. Additionally, I am currently serving as the Vice-President of the Austrian Society for Phlebology, where I focus on promoting young medical professionals in phlebology.
Clinical Focus
My clinical focus includes the surgical treatment of varicose veins up to open leg treatments. Another key area is the diagnosis and follow-up of venous thrombosis. Additional specialties include surgical dermatology, skin cancer surgery, chronic wounds, and photodermatology.
